Volleyball traveled to Virginia this past weekend to play conference opponents #6 Richard Bland and Bryant & Stratton. This ended their regular season games finishing 17-7 overall and 8-4 in conference play. The Trojans landed the #3 seed in Region 10 DII East Division standings.
FTCC vs. Richard Bland (L, 0-3)
The first game on Friday was against #6 ranked Richard Bland. The Trojans fell in three sets to the Statesmen. The offense was led by Hannah Spexarth (Fayetteville, NC) with 6 kills. Jacqueline Woosley (Fayetteville, NC) had 14 assists and 6 digs. Aliyah Brown (Fayetteville, NC) also had 6 digs for the Trojans. Sonjai Guiles (Georgetown, SC) ended the first game with 1 service ace and 2 blocks, one solo and one assisted.

The Trojans pushed five sets against the Bobcats, winning the first and third set. The offense was led by Morgan Brady (Fayetteville, NC) and Guiles who each had 11 kills in the match. Spexarth was close behind with 10 kills. The defense was led by Brown with 15 digs and Taylor Melvin (Fayetteville, NC) with 13 digs. The Trojans finished with 48 kills as a team set up by Woosley’s 39 assists.
There were six service aces against the Bobcats. Olivia Johnson (Fayetteville, NC) and Brady each had 2, while Spexarth and Woosley had one each. The Trojans finished with eight blocks in the match. Brady had 3 assisted blocks, Sydney Conklin (Fayetteville, NC) and Eternitie Denton (Fayetteville, NC) each had 2 assisted blocks.

Finishing 8-4 in conference play landed the Trojans the #3 seed on the East side of Region 10. They will be traveling to Raleigh, NC on Friday October 28 for a match against the #2 seed on the West side, Davidson-Davie at 2pm. The winner will advance to Saturday where they could play up to two games.
