Dear Future Student Veteran Association Member,

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Student-Veteran Association at the Fayetteville Technical Community College? You do not have to be a current or prior United States Military Veteran to be a Student-Veteran Association member.  We understand that most students are busy and do not have much spare time, so there is no obligation or commitment. Student Veterans Association (SVA) is a student-run service and support organization whose goal is to improve the welfare of all student veterans and family members of veterans.
Some of the advantages of being a member of the SVA include peer support, mentoring, community involvement, career services support, and networking. By becoming a member of the Student Veterans of America, you are joining with others committed to empowering the military and veterans’ community through higher education’s transformative effect.
We understand that for a Veteran returning to an educational environment, the experience can often be hindered by the difficulties of transition. That is why we make it our obligation to receive them with a welcoming culture that acknowledges their sacrifice on campus through our living network of student-Veterans.

The SVA also wants to provide a voice for student veterans and advocate for veterans’ issues in the campus community and the larger community around them. We welcome anybody who supports our mission to join us to improve the campus environment for student veterans.

GO Trojans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
