Fayetteville Technical Community College has introduced an updated brand identity that reflects its mission to prepare students and the community for the future.
The refreshed brand keeps the familiar FTCC colors of black, gold and white, but introduces a bold, modern logo and a powerful new tagline, “Future Ready.”
The new logo, revealed Friday during FTCC’s 2025 Fall Convocation, features strong “FTCC” lettering alongside a square crossed by black, gold and white sweeping bands. The design represents the many paths students can take, all leading toward future opportunities.
Along with the updated logo, FTCC has adopted the tagline “Future Ready,” underscoring the college’s commitment to providing the skills and knowledge needed for success in today’s workforce.
FTCC President Dr. Mark Sorrells presented the changes to faculty, staff and community leaders during Convocation, which marks the start of the academic year.
“FTCC’s new brand embodies a bold commitment to equipping every learner with essential technical and transferable skills, fostering confidence and creating opportunities to succeed in a dynamic economy,” Sorrells said. “We are cultivating a future-ready workforce that fuels economy growth and enhances career mobility. More than a visual refresh, this rebrand signifies FTCC’s renewed dedication to leading, innovating and uplifting the people of Cumberland County.”
The brand update follows a months-long process in partnership with Raleigh-based firm Vitalink. Input was gathered from FTCC faculty, staff, students, community leaders, workforce partners, and other stakeholders across the region. The result is a brand identity that reflects the college’s belief in helping every individual reach their full potential.
FTCC Athletics has also adopted a refreshed Trojans logo, featuring a streamlined Trojan helmet with the FTCC wordmark in the plume.
In the coming months, the college will launch a redesigned website to improve navigation and provide information in a clear, accessible format.
