Baseball traveled to Burlington, North Carolina this past weekend to play in the Region 10 conference tournament. The Trojans were the #4 seed on the east side, making it for the second time in program history.

They faced the #1 seed on the west side in game one, Catawba Valley Community College. Baseball battled 10-innings in game one, but the Red Hawks came out on top to move the Trojans to the elimination bracket.

On day two, in a must win game, the Trojans faced the Yetis of Cleveland Community College who were the #3 west seed. The Trojans scored four runs early in the first inning, but the Yetis battled back to make it a two run game. Baseball pulled out the win 8-6, winning their first ever conference tournament game in program history and advanced to day three.

With weather coming in, the Trojans were supposed to play a 10am game against Patrick & Henry Community College but it was pushed back to a 2pm start. The Trojans got on the board first in the first inning, but the Patriots quickly tied the game back up. After a back and forth eight-innings, the Patriots won 7-5 to eliminate the Trojans from the tournament.

Baseball finishes their 2025 season 26-31 overall and 15-21 in conference play. They had one less win than the program record, but set a new standard at the conference tournament.

As a team, the Trojans set season high numbers in multiple categories including putouts, assists, runs scored, hits, doubles, homeruns, RBIs, walks and stolen bases. They hit 20 more homeruns this year than any past season and had 79 more hits.

Multiple players set a new single season program record and broke into the top five of each category.

Baseball will start back up in August when they begin preparing for Spring 2026 with their fall season. Stay up date on our website or follow our social media at FTCC Trojan Athletics.
