Fayetteville Technical Community College will dedicate its new Softball Field and Fieldhouse on March 4 with a celebration that includes a ribbon-cutting and ceremonial first pitch. The celebration will be followed by a doubleheader where the Trojan women will face Cleveland Community College. The event is free and open to the public.

Date: Saturday, March 4, 2023

Time: Ribbon-cutting and celebration, 12:30 p.m. First of two games, 1 pm

Where: FTCC Trojan Field at J.P. Riddle Stadium, 2823 Legion Road, Fayetteville

The new softball field is located next to the baseball stadium that was gifted to FTCC by Cumberland County in 2019. Built to NCAA regulation standards, the softball field will provide a permanent home for the Trojan softball team and represents a commitment by FTCC to providing equitable facilities for its women athletes. Before this season, the team used Honeycutt Park at Kiwanis Recreation Center as its home field. The new field includes seating and a fieldhouse. The FTCC women are currently 4-2.
