FTCC students brought home a variety of hardware from competitions at the SkillsUSA North Carolina Conference, held April 27-29 in Greensboro.
- 1st Place – James Song, Automotive Refinishing
- 1st Place – Hailey Moriarty, Electrical Construction Wiring
- 1st Place – Yara Sanchez, Fantasy Hair & Makeup (model was Karla Cueva)
- 1st Place – Debbie Krocker, Nail Care (model was Karen Crocker)
- 2nd Place – Lauryn Shaver, Restaurant Service
- 3rd Place – LaQueshia Spillman, Cosmetology Beginner Skills
- 4th Place – Ricardo Leak, Culinary Arts
- 5th Place – Damen Fowler, Commercial Baking
- 5th Place – Kaylyn Gamble-Diggs, Prepared Speech
Three of the first-place finishers – James Song, Hailey Moriarty and Debbie Krocker – qualify to compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership and Skills Conference scheduled for June 20-24 in in Atlanta, Georgia.
