FTCC staff members stopped by Alger B. Wilkins High School today to deliver $500 towards the Warriors’ Sponsor A Senior program.

Sponsor A Senior invites community members to donate funds to cover the costs of graduation caps and gowns, as well as senior dues. Alger B. Wilkins High School Principal, Dr. Valerie Johnson-Martin, said the school aims to get those expenses covered for each of its 112 seniors.

“This helps get us closer to our goal,” Johnson-Martin said.

Donating on behalf of FTCC were Dr. Mark Sorrells, Dr. DeSandra Washington, Loutricia Nelson, Mary DiRisio, Elizabeth Self, Marvin Price, Kareka N. Chavis, Socorro I. Diaz, Brenda Harris, Dr. Katanya Foust, Mary Tuley, Dr. Derwin Campbell and Stefanie Painter.

The group’s donation will provide caps and gowns for eight seniors.
